Preventative Measures for Your Veemo's Front Shock Mount

Preventative Measures for Your Veemo's Front Shock Mount

Dear Veemo Community,

At Veemo, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality vehicles that deliver exceptional performance. Recently, we identified a potential issue regarding the upper front shock mount that we want to address proactively to ensure your Veemo remains in optimal condition.

The Issue

We’ve encountered a case where the upper front shock mount did not fully secure the top of the front shock. This situation can compromise the shock's ability to perform effectively, impacting your vehicle's handling and overall ride quality. While this issue arose from damage during shipping, we understand the importance of taking preventative measures to safeguard all Veemos against similar occurrences.

Our Solution

To enhance the integrity of your vehicle's front suspension system, we are implementing the following preventative measures:

  1. Replacement Parts Package: We are sending out a package to our first 17 Veemo customers that includes replacement front shocks, bearings, and bushings. These components are essential for ensuring a secure connection between the shock and the shock mount.

  2. Installation of Shocks, Bearings and Bushings: We highly recommend installing bearings and bushings between the top of the front shock and the shock mount. This additional layer of protection will help absorb vibrations and minimize potential movement, ensuring the shock remains securely in place. In addition, we are providing a replacement set of front shocks which are stiffer and taller, which will rid the need for the spacers between the top of the shock and the shock mount, as well as provide a more stable ride for heavier riders. If you enjoy the ride feel of your current front suspension, there is not need to change the front shock, however we do still recommend installing the bearings and bushings as shown below:

To replace the front shocks, unbolt the following hardware in the images below, and reinstall them with the new front shocks:

Why This Matters

By taking these steps, we aim to:

  • Enhance Safety: A properly secured front shock mount is crucial for the safety and stability of your vehicle.
  • Maintain Performance: Ensuring that your shocks are securely mounted allows them to perform at their best, contributing to a smoother and more responsive driving experience.
  • Prevent Future Issues: Implementing these preventative measures minimizes the risk of encountering similar problems down the line.
