Unclear about throttle, battery, controller differences
Confirm all feature specs from support or sales (see Stax, Stax Pro comparison).
Only one size available, doesn’t fit everyone
Test ride before buying. Consider stem/seatpost swaps or wait for additional size offerings from ENVO.
Scrape after reassembly or first rides
Adjust caliper, true rotor, break in pads as instructed in manual/support guide.
Suspension doesn’t move freely, feels harsh
Adjust tension/preload, lubricate moving parts if possible. Contact support for further instruction if needed.
Bike needs shop visit to true wheels/align brakes because out-of-box not perfect
Take to Envo Dealer or a reputable repair shop; keep receipt for compensation if advised by ENVO. Give feedback to ENVO for future improvement.
Booklets, manuals missing links or essential sections
Ask ENVO for PDF or online supplement. Dealer may provide quick start/checklist version.
Rear light does not illuminate after install
Check connection and alignment, if battery LED, test/replace battery. Replace light if faulty under warranty.
No preview of open-box model details
Insist on recent photos/config before purchase; see return/warranty terms clearly listed before paying.
Unclear what service is user vs. shop (chain, brakes, etc.)
Consult ENVO manual for routine checks, intervals; use local shop for major service or contact support for guide.
Display won’t register touch or resets itself
Power cycle, check for firmware updates. Replace if nonresponsive under warranty.
Sudden loss of assist, especially at low speed
Check throttle and PAS connections; monitor for safety sensor faults; escalate persistent cutoffs.
Tires may not match user riding needs or expectations (hybrid vs. trail)
Verify size in user manual/spec sheet before ordering/riding. Request swap at dealer if new bike.
Charger won’t show indicator or won’t charge bike
Try wall and battery on another outlet. Test charger on another compatible bike. Replace if confirmed dead.
Not clear how to use/switch dual batteries correctly
Follow manual for switch procedure, only change mode when both batteries installed. Contact support for further troubleshooting.
Rear rack, fenders, etc. don’t mount as expected
Confirm compatibility (rack vs frame model). Carefully fit per instructions or contact for hardware kit if needed.
Odd noises from frame while riding
Tighten all bolts (incl. rear triangle/pivot on Pro). Lubricate pivots/QR. Re-check after short ride.
Fender not installed parallel or shifts after bumps
Loosen mounts, re-align, then retighten bolts. Check for twisted stays or brackets.
Bike won’t power on after wash/rain, likely connector/moisture issue
Let dry fully, unplug/reconnect battery and display. Use contact cleaner if confident. Escalate if doesn’t recover soon.
Return/warranty not clear for pre-owned or demo bikes
Request full warranty statement in writing and clarify policy before purchase.
"Open box" demo bikes have high wear, reduced battery
Confirm condition and return policy before purchase. Test high-use models before accepting. Warranty may be limited for these units.
Delayed or missing replies from ENVO support
Follow up with your ticket. Use serial/order # and photos for best results. Ask dealer for help if purchased through one.
Lever very hard to close, won’t secure wheel
Ensure cam faces frame/dropout; apply more force; inspect for bent skewer. Replace if needed.
Post slides down under load, can’t lock
Clean post and seat tube, tighten clamp, use friction paste. Replace clamp if damaged.
Pro’s adjustable handlebar is stuck/loose
Loosen stem bolts, re-adjust, retighten to spec. Use assembly paste and check for burrs-interference.
Error flashes on display, stalls assist
Note error code, consult user manual or ENVO KB for code lookup. Perform recommended fix (often resetting controller, checking sensors/connections).
Motor won’t assist on pedaling
Check PAS sensor at bottom bracket; verify controller connection. Test by rotating pedals manually, escalate if not resolved.
Tires go flat soon after inflation or valve issues
Inspect for punctures or rim tape displacement. Use valve extender for inflation. Check/prep rim strip as needed.
No response on throttle, or intermittent motor power (Pro models)
Inspect throttle wiring, confirm system is ON and battery fully charged. Swap to test with other throttle if possible. Escalate for part replacement.
Creaking or clicking from cranks/chain/cassette
Lubricate chain, inspect for worn or loose parts. Tighten crank bolts. Replace chain if elongated. Ask dealer if persistent.
Assembly manual unclear, steps missing
Contact ENVO for latest guide/video. Search Knowledge Base for model-specific support articles or request a detailed checklist.
Accessories don’t fit flush or bolts don’t line up
Remove and reinstall, loosen all fasteners and adjust, retighten slowly, or bend lightly. Escalate to ENVO if incompatible.
New units feel different in quality or tuning
Confirm all tuning steps from manual. Reach out to ENVO with questions, as component batch updates may cause minor variations.
Important bolts, quick release, or bell lost in box/transit
Contact ENVO support with order details for replacements. Check packaging/inside frame first.
Shifts not smooth, skips gear, chain falls off
Inspect derailleur hanger for bends (see #1), re-adjust limits/tension, confirm cable routing.
Seatpost slips during riding
Check clamp tightness, use assembly paste if available; replace clamp or post if stripped/worn.
Suspension feels locked or doesn’t compress/rebound
Adjust preload dial; check for stuck stanchion, lube pivot/joint if possible. Contact support if not resolved.
Not clear how to switch or charge dual pack (Pro models)
Review user manual for dual battery selector operation. Ensure batteries are balanced in charge. Contact support for pairing instructions.
Battery inserted but display shows no/low charge or no battery
Remove and re-insert battery; check contacts for dirt/debris. Test second battery if possible. Escalate if still not recognized.
