Understanding the Dual Battery Setup on ENVO D50/ST50 E-Bikes

If you're riding an ENVO D50 or ST50 equipped with a dual battery setup, you might notice something that seems a bit confusing at first: the display may indicate that the battery is nearly depleted—even though you know you’ve got two batteries installed. So, what's going on?

Is This an Issue?
No, it’s not an issue at all—it’s simply how the dual battery system is designed to work.

ENVO’s dual battery configuration operates by drawing power from the primary battery first. Once the primary battery is depleted, the system automatically switches to the secondary battery. The voltage displayed on your screen reflects the current battery in use—not both batteries combined.

So when the display shows low voltage, it means the primary battery is nearing empty. As soon as the system switches over to the secondary battery, you’ll see the voltage go back up, indicating that the second battery is now supplying power and is fully charged.
