Torque Sensor Bottom Bracket Assembly and Disassembly

Torque Sensor Bottom Bracket Assembly and Disassembly

Installation Process

  1. Preparation: Create an 11mm diameter hole under the bottom bracket to route the cable [00:15].

  2. Left Tooth Bowl: Install the left tooth bowl clockwise and tighten it to a torque of 35-40 Newton-meters [00:24].

  3. Cable & Sensor: Route the cable and the torque sensor component through the hole and insert it into the bottom bracket on the right side [00:44].

  4. Left Crank Arm: Install the left crank arm [01:28].

  5. Chainring: Install the chainring and tighten the nut counter-clockwise to a torque of 35-40 Newton-meters [01:55].

  6. Right Crank Arm: Install the right crank arm [02:28].

  7. Cable & Terminals: Install the protective sleeve on the cable and connect the torque sensor terminal to the controller terminal [02:51].

Disassembly Process

  1. Separate Terminals: Separate the sensor terminal from the controller terminal [03:32].

  2. Right Crank Arm: Dismantle the right crank arm [03:44].

  3. Chainring: Rotate the chainring nut clockwise to remove the chainring [04:09].

  4. Left Crank Arm: Disassemble the left crank arm [04:35].

  5. Sensor & Cable: Rotate the right tooth bowl clockwise to remove the torque sensor while pulling the cable out of the hole [05:04].

  6. Left Tooth Bowl: Rotate the left tooth bowl counter-clockwise to remove it [05:46].
