Can I leave the battery on the bike all the time? Is turning it off after a ride necessary?

Leaving the batter on the bike is a personal preference, you should always take security of bike and battery in calculation when parking in an area with high risk of theft. 
If you decide to leave the battery on the bike, make sure to turn the battery off as battery will consume a little current if left on.  
It is recommended to switch off the battery if you are not planning to use the bike in next half an hour.
